Job Shop SchedulingWorkshop-style production
Job shop = the typical layout of a small-to-mid workshop. Each part follows its own operation route (e.g. turning โ milling โ grinding), and each operation runs on a different machine. Deciding which job to assign to which machine and when = job shop scheduling. It is the most common โ and one of the hardest โ scheduling problems in industry.
